Copy Function between 2 physical servers

Hi all
I have a script that creates a web page - as part of the script I need to be able to copy the created web page from the dev server onto the live web server. The copy function seems to allow me to copy from one directory to another on the same server, just not across physical machines. Does anyone know if this is possible?

normally you use FTP to transfer files between two different machines... so your script should open a ftp connection.

Thanks. I was hoping the copy function would work across a mapped drive. Will look at the ftp side of things.

oh - well, i guess copy will work on a mapped drive also. i haven't thought of that possibility =)

I wish it would.... seems strange that I can copy from one dir to another on the machine, but even using a mapped drive, he no work. Thanks though mate!🙂
