Date help

Hi I have 2 dates:

$Sdate = 2003/04/25
$Fdate = 2003/05/12

And I try to find how many days between them. I try:
$Num = $fdate - $Sdate
but I get 0.

Any ideas?

Yep; PHP isn't to know those strings are dates so it converts them both to numbers before subtracting - they both get converted to 2003, and 2003-2003=0.

$t1 = strtotime('2003/05/12'); // "string-to-time"
$t2 = strtotime('2003/04/25');
echo ($t1-$t2)/86400;  // Assuming 24 hours in a day

substracting one string from another is not an easy task 😉

convert them into unix timestamp (as far as I can see this would be necessary as well for the example posted by richymtfc), substract, then calculate the # of days should be the better approach.
