Formating numbers

Hi,
I'm trying to show two numers after the "." no matter if there are less or more (that means : 12.50 and not 12.5 and so on ...).

amongst others number_format() allows to set the # of decimals:

You can also format the numbers with sprintf():

$formatted=sprintf("%01.2f", $num);
