PHP and GD

Hey,

I need to use to draw a filled Arc, and according to php.net it says I need at least GD 2.0.1. I did, phpinfo(); and it said I've got GD 1.6.2 or higher, so I downloaded GD-2.0.1.zip off the website, unzipped and got a folder full or text files and what-not. How do I install it?

Any help. Thanks a lot. I know you would get a lot of questions like this. Oh, repetition 😃

Windows or Linux? I guess you downloaded the source code distribution? Any experience with compiling php?

Windows..no experience with compiling 🙂 SHould I have downlaoded a different file?

I don't know whether the gd guys have precompiled windows versions... Maybe download an uptodate php version for windows at www.php.net, I think those have gd 2 built in by default...

I believe the newer versions of PHP comes with gd2 , all you need to do is copy the DLL file into your \Windoze\System32[/color] directory, and edit your php.ini file to tell php to load the new gd library.
