hi all

first i would like to know how to convert a date from this format ...

2002-12-31

to this format ...

31/12/2002

second question. is it possible to incremeent a date by a period e.g. six months in the above changed format? so far i have only seen this to be possible using a timestamp format.

perhaps the solution is to convert the 2002-12-31 format back into timestamp format and then convert that to 31/12/2002 and work out the date after x months from the timestamp?

It's easy to change the format.

$date = explode("-", $fromdate);
$todate = $date[2] . $date[1] . $date[0]

Almost correct!

Try this:

$todate = $date[2] . "/" . $date[1] . "/" . $date[0];

is it coming from mysql? in this case, both formatting and date arythmetics would be much easier.
