Date format translate to JEWs format

Hi all,

Is there any code that help translate the date format from a standard one to some special one like JEWs and CHINSES.
As you know, JEW and CHINESE use a different way to calculate the date. I have been searching for the whole night with nothing. I dont even find a way to calculate it. No help from www.php.net.
please anyone, if you know, leave a simple message please.

example, 2000-10-02 tranlate to JEWs date format.

oh thanks .. i find the thing i need.
i need to use the jewish calender to calculate the jewish holiday.
it seems quite complicated.
