Photo Gallery

I'm making a website for someone at my church. What they want is to be able to upload pictures and be able to view them all...wallah...a photogallery! lol

The thing is, it needs to have a browser-based uploading system so they don't have to fool around with an ftp program. Also it needs an admin system (nothing complicated) so only people with the password can upload images.

I have been looking around for a while now and found ONE thing like this, and I can't get to it because the site is down. I would REALLY appreciate it if someone would create something like this or link me to a script somewhere like this.

I just need something REALLY basic. With thumbnails linking to regular sizes and a slideshow. Actually it doesnt need a browser-based upload.

Since there are already tools available, I don't think anyone is going to take the time to write you a custom app. I suggest you get one of the packages suggested, then cannibalize it to use the pieces you want. It's a great way to learn PHP, too, while you are at it.

If you are not considering dynamic, user-up-loading features, you would be better off using the batch process within Photoshop. It produces all necessary web pages, thumbnails, links, etc. That would be simple enough.

Can you tell me if it's possible to set up GALLERY with the authentication protocol from UBB.classic forums? I'd like something with these features, but I want all of my members to have access to uploading (unless they're banned from doing so...).
