PEAR and PEAR::DB Windows install

Can anybody help me. I am trying to install PEAR and PEAR:😃B to my php 4.3.1 installation on a windows machine, but absolutly no luck. Does anyone know how to do this?

I have just installed PHP 4.3.1 and got the same problem. PEAR doesn't exist anymore, I don't know where it's. "The PEAR development team is proud to announce that PEAR is finally out of its long beta period. As of PHP 4.3, the PEAR installer is installed by default. Unix support is considered stable, while Windows and Darwin are still of beta-quality". I wonder what they mean. Is PEAR now part of PHP ? Isn't it a library anymore ?

I can't even find a download link to get PEAR from pear.php.net.
Is PEAR dead or something ?

Okay I am back with PHP 4.2.3 and PEAR works perfectly. Their priority was probably to release PHP 4.3.1 for Windows, with or without a working PEAR. But I wonder what they're doing because PEAR is not in the PHP manual, we can't download PEAR and there's nothing about PEAR in the PHP distribution. So how the hell do they expect us to know that PEAR exists ?
