i m making an affiliate script for my site. but im having a few problems. when a surfer comes to the site with the affiliate link (http://www.mysite.com/index.php?ref=user) i can track that the person was sent by the ref=user, but what i want to do is pass that ref=user on to the next page as the surfer checks out the site to see if they want to signup, and then when they do decide to signup that the refer gets sent through the signup and then the surfer finally lands on the confirm.php which credits the refering user with have gotten a successful signup. does that make sence ? can anybody offer any help ?
hey i just realized something. sence im using cookies to set your refer id for the login, why cant i just read that cookie from the confirm page and if you dont have the cookie it wont count the confirmed sale. would that work ?
