Coding to show £ amounts

Hi,

I am new to the forum and require some help in showing £ amounts on a website that I am designing. I have managed to show the figures in dollars but would like to show the figures in pounds. Below is the code I use at present :-

$f_price = number_format($row['price'],2); //format as dollars

Much appreciated for your help with this problem.

This may help you, it's from the PHP forums for number_format:

$amount='300000';
echo = "€ ".number_format($amount, 0, '', '.');

May I also ask a quick question to do with money (not trying to steal the thread 😛)?
I have prices as pounds in my database, and would like to convert that amount into dollars for the Americans, yen for the Japanese, and Euros, and basically every currency. 😛
How would I do that?
