for a new start.

I used to modify PHP sources with little knowlege of mySQL.

Now I considering about a new start to learn PHP, MySQL, and Aphache.

I have some questions before I begin.

I've heard PHP, mySQL and Apache are well matched with Linux.
Is that true?

Do I have to change my system into Linux?
Or
Can I do it without any difficulty in Win XP environment?

php, mysql and apache themselves are a perfect combination.

you donot need to convert your system to linux in order to run a development and testing system unless you plan to call external linux/unix commands.

setting up on XP is a walk in the park and it is what i use for a dev platform and the final version then gets uploaded to a FreeBSD server 🙂
