Help with editable regions

Hi All

I'm working with "Invision Power File Manager" and trying to make it edit not a full html page, but just an editable region, and then save the whole page afterwards...
something like:
<html>
<body>
bla bla bla ...........

< -- start edit here ->

ggk gsdgj0er igjlx text and html here
which is the editable area

< -- stop edit here ->

</body>
</html>

the best solution is to edit the html page in 3 different <textarea>
one for the top part with all the body, head and meta staff, one for the editable text I need, and one for the </body>.....
I tried doing it

but I'm not such a php wizard as I liked to be, and I simply lost hope with it..... please help, I'M LOST :-(

I attached the edit.php which need to do the job, but for now edit just the whole html in one textarea

The simple way (i.e. without using regular expressions) is to use strpos() to find the start comment, and then end comment. Then use substr() and the results of strpos() to get each part you need.
