ok, im gonna be tell the truth right from the start... im not an official web programer who is making money of it or anything, im just a really bored 18 year old trying to learn something new... i know very little on how to write php scripts and i know very little on what i need to use them....
i had a real hard time saying this is simple terms so ill just use examples:
when making pages i set it all up on my computer the way it will look on the web... i have all the subdirectorys and html files right where they will be and if you open any of them they all work exactly as they are ment to...
with php (i know you know this) it doesnt work... the php code either does nothing or just shows up as plain text... and i would like to know if it is possible to set up my computer to be able to display the site containing php the same way as the ones with out it. i hope this explains it well enough... but im sure you all know what i mean... lets face it... right now im the stupid one after all 🙂
oh yea... if its possible to see them just as they are in the folders on my hard drive and not as actuall web documents i would be VERY much happier...
any help or assistance in doing this if it is possible would be really nice... if this makes no sence... say so and ill try to repost in a more clear way...
ps: i hope this is in the right spot and not sappose to be elsewhere... and i know this is probobly inportant... im using windows 2000
second edit 🙂 on second thought hosting on the internet to my own ip or something like that wouldnt be all bad, it just creats another step or so in my problem... if i need to do this i sappose i could do so... thanks in advance to anyone who helps or even looks at this
