Two domains ..one ip

I have set up two domains....mysite.com and mysite.org. I have forwarded all requests from mysite.org to mysite.com. I would like to know which url the user entered. How do i find it? I tried all the _server variables...but none have it.

Again, what i am trying to do...is execute a index.php script in the mysite.com root and echo which url got the user to the site.

Write yourself a simple script:
<?php echo phpinfo(); ?>
And you can see exactly what variables are available.

These may help:

$url_ar = parse_url($HTTP_REFERER);
$url_host=$url_ar[host]; // Referring host
$url_query=$url_ar[query];// this would be where your search engine's variables would appear
$url_path=$url_ar[path]; // the path of the referring script

But i already did the check of phpinfo and looked at all the variables.... none actually showed what the url was that actually used and redirected to my site. Still searching...I am sure i have seen it done...but right now...having trouble finding it 🙂

What you should do is setup virtual apache servers, and for the one that redirects to the other, add a script that is served for the home page that does what you want, then use this to toss them to the other server: (note no white space above the <?php line in your code is allowed to throw headers like this)

I am using an isp that does not me access to apache. I just did a pointer to mydomain.com from network solutions by just doing url forwarding. I may not be able to do what i want the way i have it set up. Darn shame...would save me some money
