[Resolved] monitoring bandwidth

Is there a way I would be able to see how much bandwidth I am using on an internal network? Is there something I could install?

The problem is, is the machine that it is on right now is also used as a regular workstation and has another internt heavy application on it.

Is there something that I could get, build, write. that would only monitor the traffiuc to and from the apache server.

Im pretty sure this has come up before and never really got to a final answer. You can try and search for Bandwidth Monitoring or Bandwidth but im pretty sure your not gonna get a straight answer if any

You could write something to parse the Apache logs. The syntax is as follows:
(IP of viewer) - - [day/month/year:hour:minutes:seconds (- or + GMT)] "GET /(file.ext) HTTP/1.1" (code returned) (filesize)

Obviously, remove and replace (this stuff).
