Is it possible to change the path of php.ini?

I am using windows XP and i am not a admin user so cannot change stuff in the windows folder.

Even a way to include data from another file would help somming like

include path/php_content.ini

if it exists 😉

I have no idea 😃

Its just i keep testing out server apps like pop and smtp servers and i keep having to send emails to the admin to get him to change the file

He gets pissed, and i get bored waiting.

well if you have that little control over that server, more than likely he isn't gonna let you put a different php.ini in there for you to muck with, good luck

Some options can be set in any php script using ini_set() - check the docu. If your admin allowed u to use that function, u can set all the values u need in config.inc and include it via include_once(). If there's need to load dynamic modules, check out dl().

yes you can use that, however it is somewhat unreliable, and not likely that they will let you use it

Well i have full controll over apache and php etc. No-one else uses it, its just on my machine i cant access the windows dir.

Cant complain, some collegues installed some errm, bad stuff on the erotic side and got caught.

Now no-one has full controll on boxes conencted to the network.

So u can use that method... just elt the admin change php.ini so that u can use ini_set etc... Check docu for necessary options
