Happy decacentennial, dalecosp.
1000 posts.
Hmmm... Millenial?
Thanks, guys. BuzzLY, can you express that with bitwise operators?

No, no, we can't go usin' the actual term!
Hey, Dalecosp- we haven't seen that much hot air since umm... Weedpacket! Did you know you are one slot away from being in the top 10 posters? WTG!
As Bunker would say ... \o/

Hmm, quite correct, I imagine, Elizabeth...
Maybe we need a "effective post count" as well as "total post count"....
I know I have at least two terrible habits here: one is hitting 'reply' real quickly after a post when it's likely no one has read it yet anyway and an 'edit' would accomplish just as much; the other is talking to all you wackos here in the lounge. Of course, that would
'include me';
Top posters? Is that something you just keep track of, or is there a way to find out?
Damn you people are young! No wonder you're so good at this crap, too much time on your hands Hehe, though I'm not that much older, I'm 21. Wish I'd gotten into this earlier, woulda made things so much easier now
Spent too much time playing games instead of making them
Anyway, congrats Mordecai, I'm on my way there tho!
ZX80, ZX81, Commodore 64, Spectrum 16K and 48K, Atari ... that was when I was 16 (sniff!) Anyone remember Skool Daze ... no? Ho hum.
I can only congratulate you all on reaching such heady heights.
Erm ... am I in double figures yet?
EDIT: Hooray!! THE BIG TEN!!

Uh-oh, now if we do that I'm gonna be in trouble, because I think my "effective" post count is about nil.

At the very least, we'll have to define "effective." Maybe if the goal were to attract virtual wolf-whistles.....
/me ducks
FWIW, I've seen you answer/contribute good comments on a number of technical discussions...

Yeah, these are the type of "Wolf" whistles I attract

Especially if they involve Monty Python or 80's trivia LOL - hey thanks for the comment anyway...

Now granted, those are still in the Lounge. Here's Elizabeth helping with a db issue or two in the 'newbies' forum...

And here she is, helping in the "general help" forum, and giving out lessons in musical taste at the same time....

Not to mention the fact that there's all these hacker-geek guyz that sit at terminals all day, only continuing to code because they're looking forward to coming to the forums and teasing that wonderful, beautiful, witty charming Elizabeth...I imagine we all think that you're a brainy, blonde, friendly version of Denise Richards or somebody... perhaps with facial hair, ahem...

More like Keith Richards.. ha ha! Thanks for the validation on the posts there, dalecosp! Remind me to buy you a beer next time I'm in MO!
And I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm just a big dork.. oh, sorry, um.. GEEK ... Buzzly can attest...

Hmm... "who is Elizabeth?" Well, she is DEFINITELY a geek. She plays Quake. She codes. She can actually participate in a conversation, even when they include the words "memory allocation," "Star Trek," or "Monty Python." She likes to be different, as evidenced when she bought a Killian's when everyone else bought a "fru-fru" drink, as she calls it. She even mocked all the guys as we sipped our Bahama Mamas (Does that make us Mama's Boys?).
However, I will have to disagree with Elizabeth on her own self-assessment. She really IS beautiful, witty, and charming (I left off wonderful - you DID tease me about my drink, after all!). It's an amazing combination, if you ask me -- she is a rarity. And she's married to a cop. A COP! She could have had her pick of any geek in the world, and she chose a cop.
I hope to remember my camera during our next PHP Meetup, and the pics will be posted on the Meetup site. You can all send your donations to me at buzzly@ultimatespin.com if you want the URL
Anyhow, I will end it here in the maturest way this geek knows how:
"I got a hug from her and you guys didn't!!!!" :p :p :p :p
/me runs away
OMG you guys are total gaywads. LOL!
Buzz, I'm sure I looked better after that big ass drink you had... Although they are usually called "beer goggles" I think that we could also refer to them as "bahama-mama goggles".
Thanks for the compliments though- your check will be in the mail, as always
