Generating xml from postrges using php

Hi, i need to use php to access a postgres database using browser based commands (from html forms) and generate a response in xml. CAn anyone give me any advice on any documentation which might help me with this or indeed any ideas how this might be carried out.

There isn't really an automated way to do it. Just generate the XML yourself.

Do the domxml libs help here? Never used them, I've always just made the XML by hand too.
