SELECT PROBLEM for MYSQL

Dear all,

In Mysql, there is a table "data" that contains three columns,ID,STUDENT and CLASS. Although one class has more than one student, I would like to list all the CLASS given that every CLASS only appears once.

SELECT CLASS FROM data where.....

Please help me a helping hand.

Use

SELECT DISTINCT class FROM data WHERE....

or with a Group by:

SELECT class, count(*) FROM data WHERE .... GROUP BY class

If your expecting this table to get large, i'd suggest creating a class table.
