double quotes problem

Hi everyone,

I'm having a serious fight with double quotes... I have a form with a textarea where some people can add news to my site. After creating the news I give them a preview of what they made and in this preview an option to post it and that's basicly it.

The problem is this, if someone adds a link in this text field like this: <a href=http://blablabla.com>bla</a> it's fine but if they use <a href="http://blablabla.com>bla</a> the double quotes are causing problems...

I am using stripslahses() but that doesn't help.. how can I solve this problem?

instead of using stripslashes() you should use addslashes() I guess
or use single quotes?

in general: " is used to have inline variables parsed
variables in single ' are not replaced with their value

what exactly is the "trouble" they cause?

Actually I needed to use htmlspecialchars()

it works now... thanks anyway 🙂
