Moving data between tables

Heres what i have.

This php app is to browse Files. People can submit descriptions on files but i dont want them going directly to the description field, because i made an adminpanel for approving descriptions. so when someone submits a description it goes into a temporary descriptions table. it kind of got confusing but i got it figured out. Now the file approve.php needs to take the description from the temporary table and move it to the main table. I cant get it right..

Can someone help or give me a better idea for how to do the description submission part besides putting data in another table...

Why not just add an extra field to your table called something like
"approved" with an int (1). If the description is approved change the value to 1, otherwise it defaults to 0, not approved.

Less work to accomplish the same thing!

You can also INSERT things right out of SELECT statements.

INSERT INTO finaltable SELECT * FROM temptable
