PHP/MySQL Command Line Script

Hi,

I'm running into a problem when trying to execute my PHP script on a linux machine. Basically all the script does is read a text file and it inserts the information into mysql. The Php script runs fine on my windows machine but I get the following error when running it on linux:

Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect()

I did want to mention I'm trying to run this php script from the command line(on my linux machine) and my other php scripts (on my linux machine) work fine when they are accessed from my web browser. I have a feeling I'm missing something simple here.

It is also possible that persistant connections are disabled in the php config files.

Those are the only 2 things I can think of.
