Subscribing Steve Ballmer....

I think we need to see to it that Steve Ballmer is subscribed to this forum. Then he'd be able to keep on top of all the REALLY important stuff in the IT world, via the miracle of email. Like the stuff that Bunkermaster mentions in the sticky.... 😃

I've already got his addy (most of you may, also 😉 ) So, how can we subscribe him? I'm probably not good enough to hack it and get the reg code to send back (heh, heh), and besides, that'd be, you know, illegal, or unethical, or something a low-level Sun employee would do. For fun. During a 10 minute "Java" break (pun intended).

Thoughts?

I bet he doesn't even read his own emails. Probably just gets one of his many secretarys/PAs to read them first. Just think how much stuff he would get subscribed to, anyway.

That's a good point, Piersk.

Weedpacket, the 'problem at hand' is that in order to subscribe to a forum, you must first be a member of the forum, and then login as that member and hit the 'subscribe to this forum link.' (As you probably know very well.)

Now, during the registration process, you are sent an email by vBulletin, to which you respond. If I sign up Mr. B and enter his email, the confirmation will go to one of the aforementioned secretaries, and I imagine he pays enough that they have at least a baccalaureate level degree in something that would ensure that they understand written English, like emails.

Now, I could subscribe him at an alias on one of my domains that forwards to his addy, but I don't like lawyers. Particularly the kind hired by the Empire.

I was just looking at dar-k's post -- specifically, "megalomaniatic"... I had no problem with the word, because frankly, once you're halfway through trying to pronounce megalomaniacal in your head, you've moved on to the rest of the sentence. But something just wasn't right, and I had to go back and slowly struggle through the word...

Mega.... ok, no problem so far... mania... mmm hmm, gotcha... tic. Tic? Don't you mean -cal??? 😃 😃 😃

Sorry... that was just the grammatical part of me coming out... hey, notice grammatical has a tic and a cal? Cool, huh?
