You could look at the domain suffix (to easy 🙂 / do a traceroute or whois or simply try converting the language using the google language tool.
Not sure if this will help as your question was a little brief.

you never said in your first question 'website resides in' - google language tool is for translating laguages (example: german to english). To get the physical location of a websites server you use traceroute. To get the owners details you use whois.

how do web spiders know what language a site is displayed in?
so that someone can search for sites in a specific language.
