HTML email corrupted in Outlook on PC

I have developed an emailer that emails an html page in multipart mime format.

It works fine when sent to Outlook Express on a mac, but when I send it to a pc the formatting is all destroyed.

The mail client (Outlook 2000) seems to be chopping out every other " and its following character 😕

can you give me an example of the HTML code ?
Do you include the

Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1

directive in your mail headers ?

The html mime section header has;

Content-type: text/html; charset="us-ascii"
Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable

I have attached a text file containing the source from both the mac and pc emails - you will see how the pc recognises the html section but chops it up!! :mad:

I just tried it with charset=ISO-8859-1 but this has not solved the prob and the mac now says it is an unknown character set despite still rendering okay.

Finally got it to work - seems I had to send as base64 to get it to work on a pc. (whatever that means!?!)
