Making default value?

Hello,

First thanks in advance. I am trying to teach myself this, and sometimes it si the easier stuff that throws me through the loop. Anyway, I have dates in all of my tables. How do I get it so that the default date (NOT NULL) is using the curdate() function? Is this possible?

Do you mean curdate when you insert, or when you select? wouldn't make much sense when you select, so I'll assume when you insert / update.

In MySQL this is a special type, in postgresql you get to make a trigger / function pair. There's one in the snippet library by me that does that.
