Installing Php

I HAVE WIN 2000 PRO WITH IIS SERVER AND I CAN'T MAKE PHP TO WORK WITH THE IIS. I TRYIED BUT I HAVE PROBLEM 🙁

Do a search on the internet for it. You probably need to add in the .php extensions or something. Or, try this. Install PHP, put a .php file in your inetpub/wwwroot directory. Then RIGHT CLICK on the file and make sure it is set to open in Internet Explorer (if not, just right click, open with, choose Internet Explorer and click the box that says always open programs of this type with this application thingie) Then, to view the php page, in IE, go to localhost://pagename.php where pagename is the name of the php file, or go to 127.0.0.1/pagename

If you just open the file in IE it will not work alot of times. Thats about as much as I can help you, but there is a way to be able to open it anywhere, has something to do with adding the .php extension sto somewhere or something...look up installing php with iis online, you will get some hits, actually, here is a link

There are 2 ways to install PHP in a Win2K environment either plugging straight in to IIS or installing PHP on its own.

If you could advise us which way you are doing this.

If you are installing PHP as a service, you will probably need to stop IIS and then reinstall PHP.

i know badblue works with php, and I use it for that at home to test stuff, works fine, good luck with whatever you choose, but I find iis more troublesome with php
