Connecting MySql Database

😕 I'm trying to connect my host server to the mySql database located on my machine. I hope this is possible and if anyone could help that would be well appreciated.

Based on the wild assumption that this query may have come up before, I searched the Database section of this forum and got 410 hits.

But not to be impolite ... what's your problem? You want code, you want to know about httpd.conf in Apache???

I have mysql on my local machine but NOT on the webserver. I need to establish a connection between the webserver and the mysql database on the local machine.

And this would need to be a php mysql_connect("??","- u","- p"); -->that would connect me back to my local machine

Use the IP address insteead of 'localhost'. MySQL will need to be configured to allow connections from the remote IP address of whatever machine PHP is running on.
