Slow search results!

Hi!

Recently, since new xp-pro installation, my search results in mysql database are dead-slow. Typing a keyword like 'flower' in a categorie 'nature' in a database that holds 2000 items takes 15 seconds!!

This i think is not normal..

Does anyone have any idea?

I called a friend and asked him to try, he said he got a fatal error in 'ConnectDB.php' which is the connect-script to the database.

Checked it, couldn't find anything. Granted all rights to myself on the database, didn't work, killed zone-alarm, norton, didn't work.
Killed firewall on the network adapter, nothing.. checked ip Everything! (i think)

Please help me out..!

By the way,

I checked httpd.conf, checked ip, checked the rest, can't find anything..

Is this a local test server? On my own PC I found that php scripts were almost 10 times slower if I had a firewall running (ZA).
