PLZ HELP, SIMPLE QUESTION about passing variables

hi friends,
i know this might sound a VERY easy question to u, but i don;t know the answer.

see? i have a PHP page, where it has the same <head> and <body> tags from the simple HTML language,
except that i want to echo the title of the page within the head tag by passing the variable $title to it from the <body> tag.
it seems not working, i'm not sure why it's not.
i thought of declaring the $title to be global, but didn;t work either😕

in a simple way, how can i pass a variable from the <body> tag to the <head> tag at the same page? and is the whole page processed by PHP from up to down only?

can anybody help?

Not sure what you're talking about lol..

thanks for the effort,
plz check the following code, it'll explain my question, hopfully,

test.php

so, if u run that code i just wrote here, it will not have the title "welcome to my test page"
why's that?
and how can i make it to work?
i hope it explained my question

You have to pass a variable before you can call it. See example above.

You should really put all of your variable declarations (at least initially) at the top, before the <html> tag. Follow M@tt's code more closely.
