MIME types in email attachments

Hi all.

I'm writing a POP3 client (web based email) in PHP and am unsure about how to separate the attachments (which could be of any file type) and the text body of the message.

if anyone could give me a pointer, I would much appreciate it.

I have attached a copy of the script I am using so far to this post.

The email account used in the script is one I set up for testing purposes only.

I am not using PHP's built-in IMAP functions because they are not enabled on my host.

Thank you for the URL.

However, I could not find the class needed to do what I am trying to do.

What I want to do is to allow the user to read the body of the message and have link at the bottom to allow them to download the attachment.

It should work sort of like Yahoo! or Hotmail does when you read a message and it gives you a link to the attachment.

The difficulty I am having is how to separate the attachment (in this case a .zip file) from the text body of the message.

Any help would be appreciated.
