pass along multiple var's using header(); ?

hi everybody!

i have the following setup:

• form.php >> (calls) >> script.php >> (redirects to) >> nextform.php

what i'd like to do is pass along multiple variables from my "form.php" to "script.php" to "nextpage.php".

i know i can easily pass along one variable from "script.php" to "nextform.php" like so:

• header ("Location: nextpage.php?var=$var");

:rolleyes: i'm wondering if there's a way for me to do something similar with, let's say two or even three var's in a format like this:

• header ("Location: nextpage.php?var=$var, var2=$var2");

well, something like the example above anyway, since that obviously doesn't work 😃

any help/tips would be appreciated!

hmm... since you plan to pass them along the querystring, maybe

header("Location: nextpage.php?var=$var&var2=$var2");

that sort of name/value pairs.

i'm not too sure about this ... since i'm still brand new to php, i never exclude the possibility that i'm doing something stupid while writing my code :p ... but when i add

header("Location: nextpage.php?var=$var&var2=$var2");

to my script, the address bar after loading "nextform.php" only shows this:

www.domain.com/nextform.php?var=$var

and seems to ignore the "&var2=$var2" part ... especially odd when i look at the address bar here on phpbuilder while i type this answer, since the board seems to be using exactly the same syntax ... any ideas? 🙂

funny, I decided to test and had no such problem.

oooh, i hate being stupid :mad: 😉 my fault - in my script, the redirect is part of an if statement, i added your syntax to the "if" part but left the "else" part as it was ... when checking the script, i of course kept choosing the "else" option ... hmpft slapsforeheadwithhand ... fixed it and it works perfectly now
