[Resolved] A quick date question

Hi guys.

I have a form with a date textbox.

I want to enter the date in 5/1/03 format in the textbox and insert it into the database in 2003-05-01 format. I know it can be done but I don't know how.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

It is much better to have three drop-down boxes as it makes the input and date validation much simpler.

Seems like you should be able to use the strtotime and the date functions to do your conversion.
