In PHP,How can we know if a checkbox is selected or not.

I will have 3 check boxes, let's say green,blue and red.

when submit is hit, what i would like to do is, if green and red is selected i would like to print
green,"",red

or if only red is selected i would like to print
"","",red

The user must check at least one box before hitting submit.
To make the checking easy, I use the same name(array) for all the boxes.
I am really tired and frustrated of trying. Any help will be really appreciated.

This checks each one (red, green, blue) to see if they are TRUE, and then prints out that it is true. If it's not true, it will echo an empty quote set (""). [Edit:] It also checks to see if one is selected or not.

I was trying to gave them all one name, so that it would be easier in other checkings and processings.
But now I change the name to different ones and it is working.
