SQL query: Exclude ten last rows ?

How do I make so the ten hits/rows with the highest id is excluded please?

$Query = "select * from news  WHERE approved=1 order by datum desc" or die (mysql_error());

That takes out the ten with highest "datum", I would like to exclude the ten rows with the higest id.

So, it can get 2,7,25,57 or any number of rows, just skip the ten with highest "id" please.

oh, sorry brain wasn't working, then you will have to count() the array, then use limit $count - 10 to limit the query
