error in my forum

I have a problem in my forum

"Database error in vBulletin 2.2.5:

Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS threads FROM thread
mysql error: Can't open file: 'thread.MYI'. (errno: 145)

mysql error number: 1016"

the problem apears several times befor....
evry time I restore a backup of my database and it was work very good....

but I mant a solution to this problem......

and how can I protect my forum and avoid this problem next time

try this sql command on your database

REPAIR TABLE thread

and

OPTIMIZE table thread
