User Auth Functions

Hi Chaps!

I love this board, I've been able to build my website by searching for little snippets and examples from this forums alone. Great!

I want to start adding users to my site, so that they can post articles and the likes. However, I want them to be able to change passwords and stuff like that. As Admin, I want to be able to create new passwords, in the event of them forgetting theirs.

I found this (Snippet ) in the code library, but could use some help understanding how to use it.

Any help would be great.

yes...me too...i'm trying to work this this snippet myself...any advice out there about this thing?

what i think would be nice to know...i'm trying to find some information on how to work with classes...haven't found any yet...if anybody knows of any tutorials or whatnot that would be great...

it probably also bears noting, that this particular class looks very nice...tim_perdue has thought out what people need...but for some of us newbies (well, not so new actually anymore), it's a new thing and requires new research...

I've managed to hgave a look at this snippet. I've hacked and pasted sections of this into my own code and managed to get the parts I want to work seemlessly with my code.

What I dis was print out the code, and highlight all the sections that I needed. Then changed, checked and amended the code to match the naming convention I have from my project.

IU've used the following functions from the set:

user_change_password
user_lost_password
account_pwvalid

I may add some more to my code at some point, but hey, the site works. Now on to the next feature, getting the articles to work.
