DNS-less connection

I have signed up with a web-host (cheap one to try and experiment to find my feet). It has PHP support and also supports MSAccess, although it does not allow configuration of a DNS. I have been trying to configure phpBB2 but in its configuration it requires a DNS string for msAccess connections.
Is there any way of getting round this? Or should I just fork out the extra bucks to setup an SQL database on the server.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

hi,

u can go for php/mysql support in the webhost.

first try to install in ur windows development machine and check it.

u need apache/php/mysql support in your windows machine and for that download forxserv.exe if a a great development environment for windows for php/mysql based applications.

you can connect to the MS access database DSN Less...

u can use DAO or ADODB to connect using PHP COM support...
read the manual... and find some script on the Internet because it is everywhere

it is not DNS ... it is DSN...
