Automatically refreshing

I'm having a problem with a form on one of my sites. Each time I go to the site after entering some information (editing info from a drop down) it refreshes me back to another screeen, then if I want to EVER edit another item in the drop down, I go to the screen to edit and the old item is still in there.

Is there any way to automatically refresh a drop down each time I go to the screen? The only way to refresh the info in the box is to refresh the entire screen. It's not just one computer and it's really irritating me. These damn government computers are too picky about info on the net.

Anyway, help anyone?
