I am starting up a new website. My main aspects of this site is a photo gallery and news posting. I have customised the 4images gallery script, but now I would like to also have news posting on my site.
I think I have a number of options here, two of which I see as being:
(1) Attempt to integrate a news publishing script (such as b2 or CuteNews) into what I have already done with 4images (this includes users/sessions etc. are used for the gallery and news posting - 4images already has a gallery specific DB for users/sessions etc.), or
(2) Scrap what I have done with 4images and restart with something like Xoops or PHP-Nuke etc... and customer a gallery and new posting site out of that.
Any help from developers experienced in this area would be most appreciated.
