Hey all,
I've got a quick question about MySQL. I'm designing a site for a buddy of mine; the site is basically a store for his t-shirt designs. So, needless to say, it has database calls on nearly every page.
I designed it on my server and never had any problems, I then moved it to his server and for a while had no problems. But this morning, I logged in to the admin mode to add a product for him, and every page had a warning that said something about mysql_num_rows() not being recognized. I wasn't sure what the problem was, so I SSH'd into his account to see what was up and when I logged into the database, it printed out something like "No data left in tables. Database changed."
I thought all the info had been dropped, but when I went back to the website, all of the sudden it was working and all of the product info was still there, nothing had been lost.
So, I didn't lose any data, thank God, but I'm still curious as to what exactly happened. I was told by someone, that it may be a problem because I'm not using persistant connections. To me, it seems like MySQL just crashed, but I don't know.
Any help, to point me in the right direction here would really be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
