Minimizing PHP cmd windows under WinXP

Hey 🙂

I run a small webserver under WinXP pro. Whenever it executes a PHP script, it runs in a command window. Same story for perl commands. Problem: It gets pretty annoying to work on the server and have those black windows pop up and disappear all the time!

SO: Does anyone know how to run these requests in minimized windows?

Well, don't use the CGI binary form. Instead, use the ISAPI module. Consult the install file for information on how to switch.

Thanks for the idea! Wasnt aware of that 🙂 However, switching to ISAPI for some reason screws up all my scripts! After doing some reading, it seems like there's an issue with my webserver (WebSite) and isapi..and I'm not about to rewrite my scripts or to change webserver software

SO: Is there any other ways to accomplish this? Some kind of general way in windows to avoid those nasty black cmd.exe boxes popping up

Not to my knowledge. It seems that your server wasn't programmed to work with PHP well. I'd suggest changing servers to one that works well with PHP, like Apache.
