$HTTP_USER_AGENT and posible values

Hi i wish to make a simple function that will recognise agents OS,browser and so on using the $HTTP_USER_AGENT variable,but where can I find all the posible values for it, so what is it if it's an older win95 system with IE4, or a Linux with NS, are there any differences between linux distributions...

Hrm... I've been logging $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] for a while now on our site... and so far I'm up to about 16,000 different DISTINCT user agents...

maybe check this http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?s=&postid=10346639 - there is no browser list but the browscap.ini file contains one, this might be easier than creatin one yourself
