cURL or Sockets, spoof ip

Using cURL, sockets, ect, is there any way to spoof an ip?

Why would I want to do that? No i am not hacking or messing with anything,

I need to use cURL on the local server to request a page, but pass on the client ip instead of the server ip, so the resulting cookies and headers can be passed on properly back to the client.

You wont be able to do that. HTTP is an Application Layer (Layer 7) protocol, but IP is a Network Layer (Layer 3) protocol. So, even if you spoof your ip in your http headers using cURL or Sockets (which is easy as all hell) the data will still be sent back to your server because the actual networking components don't even look at that. You're going to have to work on a much lower layer than http to figure this one out.
