easy replace question

Hi All,

I have a database field which holds values of property. THey are stored as integers. Now I want them to be displayed, not as 250000 but rather 250.000 to increase readabillity. Anybody any smart ideas on how to do it? I think it should be a recursive function which breacks of chunks of 3 digits and adds a . or , . I could program this, but I think there should be a better way.

I remember having to do this early on in college and it involved the % modulus operator. I think that
1234%10 is equal to 4 and 1234%100 is equal to 34 etc.

But nope. I am not looking into moving the decimal seperator (Which basically is what you are suggesting). Hm.. Confusing.. In dutch we use the . as thousands seperator, and the , as decimal seperator. I want o adda thousands / millions seperator. I somehow think the real-estates will not pass the 1.000.000.000 euros value..

Any other ideas?
