How would you check if a record has been added to a database in the last month? with unix timestamps??
Look at the calendar / date functions of MySQL, either that or use WHERE timestamp BETWEEN x AND y .... in your query....
<hint>Don't forget to use 12am and 11:59:59pm though....</hint>
