mysql_num_rows() error.

im designing an inventory system on IIS and am having issues with the mysql_num_rows() function returning my query. The warning is "mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource" Does any one know what this is refering to?

Yes, may be.

The problem is the argument supply to mysql_num_rows().

(Usuallly mysql_num_rows($result)... right?)

May be:
1) the query don't work, so $result as a wrong value.
2) $result is write wrong. Check if is the right variable.

usually that is a pretty good sign that you have a bad query. try running that query in mysql, or phpmyadmin and see if it is a valid query.
