okay, be gentle cause i am new 😉
i am having trouble finding information about passing double quotes into a variable. for example if I have:
echo "<a href=\"./blah.php?foo=$info\">click this</a>";
it works fine unless the data that is in the $info variable doesn't contain any quotation marks like "hello". The reason i need to be able to take quotes is that I am trying to pass information from a submit form which may include quotes when someone types something like "he said" or "she said" and I have tried using <a href> and type=hidden in a form but no go.
what happens is that the first time a quotation mark comes up, it tricks the <a href=> into thinking that it's the closing quote (if that makes sense)
Any ideas?
I am taking the data in $info and passing it into a database which I need to be able to display later. am I going about this all the wrong way?
