Search engine making tips and such..

I'm thinking about TRYING to write myself a search engine! And I was wondering if anyone could point me to some tutorials or had any useful little tips for me? Oh, and I mean a search engine that spiders sites and everything! .... Just won't be as nice as others out there! I would just use someone elses but I would rather try making my own first! 🙂

Check hotscripts.com's php section. I think there's one subsection just about searchin where u can get lots of gpl scripts which u can use as templates. If u have any further questions, drop me a line.
