E-mailing a file from the server?

hello,

I'm creating a text file once a week that I want to e-mail to myself.

I understand the concepts of e-mail and PHP but I am a bit confused on how to actually grab this text file from the server and send it...

Any ideas? Any codin examples are greatly appreciated!!!

The variable email is the destination email address, $subject is the subject of the email, $message is a string variable containing the body of the email...where it says "From...blah blah" is what it will say as who its from. Since this method of sending email is using a function to do it, that part doesnt matter because you cant reply to it...

There is another function where you can actually have php send mail via your SMTP server where the user could reply but for what you are trying to do this should work

How do I pickup a file from the server and attach it as an attachment to the e-mail being sent???

Hey thanks...

Almost, but not exactly...

I undertsand how to dump the files contents into the message of the e-mail but what I need to do is take the file and ATTACH it as an ATTACHMENT to the e-mail.

Any ideas???
